30 Day Design Thinking Package
After working as a contractor for the last five years, I recently decided to reflect on my offering. Although I was confident and happy with my process, I struggled to make it as effective as I wanted within a corporate structure. I enjoyed working with new people, discovering customer problems, understanding business objectives, and designing solutions, but all too often the projects seemed to lose momentum quickly.
I found myself bogged down in repetitive, unstructured meetings, with no decisions or actions being made. I would become ensnared in procurement paralysis, ever-expanding project timelines, and bloated budget reviews. I was looking to talk to customers, test new concepts, and build great products and services, but I had limited influence over the culture of the companies to affect meaningful change.
So I decided to pivot and take a look through my toolbox. I tossed out a few old workshops and added a few new ones. What I’ve come up with is a blended mix of workshop recipes from different methodologies, tailored for each client project. A plan that maximises the value of our shared time, effort, and resources.
I call it the 30-Day Design Thinking Package. I’m betting that I’ll be able to give clients 90% of the benefit of working with me, in about 10% of the time. Instead of hiring me for a year, you can buy a once-off package and get (mostly) the same job done in a month. Best of all, I only need your team for a few days for workshops and reviews, so there is minimum disruption to your organisation.
In my experience, most companies are asking themselves at least one of these questions:
Are you looking to find out what your audience thinks about your service?
Are you looking to launch a new product or feature?
Are you struggling with repetitive meetings that lack decision and action?
Do you want to generate innovative solutions?
Do you want to test realistic prototypes with real people and get their honest feedback?
If you have answered any of these questions with an emphatic “YES”, then I may have the right package for you and your team.
