1. Empathise
Select your own users or I can source participants that match your target audience.
Interviews are designed to allow people to open up, have fun, and be honest about their needs and frustrations.
The key outcome is to discover the problem your users are facing before trying to solve it.
2. Define
I synthesise the learnings from research and workshops into personas that accurately reflect the needs and frustrations of your users.
Next, we’ll walk with these personas through an end to end journey map of the proposed service to highlight trouble areas and focus on a specific target to solve.
When we have the problem clearly defined from the user’s perspective, we’ll move on to solving it through ideation.
3. Ideate
Through a series of workshops, we’ll generate as many ideas as possible that solve the problem for the user.
Ideas can come from anyone in the workshop, not just senior management or ‘creative’ types.
Ideas are voted on and form the basis for refined journey maps and storyboards for prototypes.
4. Prototype
I will design one or more interactive prototypes that realistically simulate the user experience we want to test.
Prototypes can be a webpage, site, app, email, marketing material, or a combination of channels.
Prototypes are designed to prove that the service can solve the problem for the user.
5. Test
I create scripts and assessable criteria for the user tests while giving users the freedom to express themselves.
Observe or join me on the user tests to develop a deeper empathy with your users.
Findings are evaluated so you can make an informed decision about the next stage of your service.
